DIY: Oatmeal and Honey Face Mask Recipe

Honey and Oatmeal Face Mask Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon of warm water
  • 1 teaspoon of grated cucumber (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of grated carrot (optional)
Instructions:
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the honey and oatmeal until well combined.
  2. Add in the warm water and stir until the mixture forms a smooth paste.
  3. If using cucumber and/ or carrot, grate them and add them to the mixture.
  4. Apply the mask to your face, avoiding the eye area.
  5. Relax for 15-20 minutes while the mask works its magic.
  6. Rinse the mask off with warm water, then pat dry with a clean towel.
Tips and Variations:
  • Use a high-quality, raw honey for the most benefits.
  • You can also add other ingredients to customize the mask to your skin type. Some options include:
    • A teaspoon of yogurt for extra moisturizing power
    • A teaspoon of lemon juice for a brightening effect
    • A teaspoon of grated ginger for anti-inflammatory benefits
  • If you have sensitive skin, start with a small patch test before applying the mask to your entire face.
  • Store any leftover mask mixture in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
